What is Reiki?
Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese healing technique that means Universal Life Energy. Rediscovered in the late 1800s by Dr. Usui, a Japanese monk, Reiki allows energy to flow through the practitioner’s hands into the recipient’s body, promoting healing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Since its introduction to the West by Hawayo Takata in 1938, Reiki has gained popularity as a complementary therapy.
